![]() Hope in a sensible answer by someone of yours much more competent than I am.Ĭan you check this on your Mac/GarageBand?Ĭiao and I thank you all for your attention to this my topic. Maybe it's a bug, because a friend of mine told it happens to him also, with his Mac Pro. Obviously it's a nonsense: in my opinon Apple (not Apple in whole but the technicians who received my question) did NOT try AT ALL to understad or answer me with the real reason of this. Why copyright reason is apllied only for a recording mode and not for both? it shouldn't be allowed, then: instead the recording level in automatic mode is good for both stereo channels. If this would be right, the automatic stereo recording level would work in this way, too. I checked it from different sources: always the same result.Ĭalled Apple support that answerd to me, by email and by voice (not written): it's not a bug, it's normal, because "Apple in this way inhibits the copy for copyright reasons". both volume and pan I assume this is only a MIDI fix. turn OFF the controller (button right under the word controller) Note that the controller for the track is disabled for all functions, e.g. select the edit tool (line with dots on it) 3. It's like the input stereo signal is "weak" on both channel, expecially on one of those two, and in automatic mode GarageBand "helps" to adjust aligning them on the same input level (around, because it's a stereo input).Ĭan you check if it's the same for you, too. I think all you need to do is turn OFF the controller. The other channel (the lower one, into the track level display) does not effect any adjustment, the track level, in manual mode, remain the same even moving up and down the input recording level. ![]() the channel keep sounding even if the level is the lowest as it can be (only by adjusting the input volume by the source, but nothing I can do by GarageBand recording level panel, in manual mode). The recording level adjustment seem not to work properly: in automatic mode it works but cannot adjust it (being in automatic option, obviously): in manual mode one channel (the upper one, into the track level display) is adjusting but no more than a certain low level: i.e. Input analog stereo (two circles on the panel) by audio line in minijack. ![]() Minimac, OS Sierra 10.12.3, GarageBand 10.1.6. Garage Band inputs not working Hello Just want to say first that I am very new to apple computers (This is the first I have ever bought)I am using a 2017 iMac running MacOS Mojave 10.14 with Garage Band 10.3.1I cannot record my Guitar in GarageBand using my Focusrite interface or the internal iMac microphone. When you are ready, press record in your recording software, and start your mix. I have problems with input stereo recording level adjustment. Make sure audio is coming through and you arent redlining in the record panel. I apologize for my english (I'm from Rome, Italy). ![]()
